A couple of years ago, as part of my job I had to fly to Sydney for a workshop on the customer's site. I landed on a Monday morning, reached the hotel and straight to the office to meet the customer and some friends who were there the previous week as well.
It's a very long flight from Tel Aviv, all in all takes about 24 hours, but surprisingly I wasn't that tired. The workshop went well and after that I decided to stay for a long weekend to check out Sydney. I was actually there once. It was in 2000 during the Olympics, so the city was quite crowded and places look different. I was glad I had the opportunity to see it again, in a "normal" state.
When I reached the hotel, the room wasn't ready yet, so I went to "Coco Cubano" and had the best hazelnut chocolate milk ever! I strolled through Hyde park to see the Archibald fountain and the ANZAC memorial. It was a nice, I was in a good mood so just continued on walking and reached the botanic gardens which are open to the public.
Sydney's Opera house and Harbour bridge

After enjoying the gardens I "suddenly" reached the … Opera! I just love this building/structure, however you want to call it. Took some photos of it and had the time to digest it…
From there I took the path to "Mrs Macquarie's Chair" which provides a stunning view to the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. I had such a good time that I didn't notice the time; it was late afternoon so I decided to head back to the hotel but from a different route.
I picked George St. which kind of reminded me 5th Avenue in NYC with all the big famous names & brands. I was tired and wanted to get back to the hotel to get some rest but there were some small stores I couldn't resist going into.
